   The wobbly lip, cute pout, the tiny fists. It’s frustrating but also weirdly cute. One day, you’ll laugh about it.

   Back-and-forth babbles. You say “hi,” they respond with “bah!”. It might not be English, but it’s communication and you both knew what was going on (kind of).
10. The First Glimpse of Their Personality
    Are they curious and fearless? Calm and observant? Did they give a relative the bombastic side-eye or waved at someone in the elevator? This is who they’re becoming and it’s the start of a beautiful discovery.
